CMS Cepcor recently completed the refurbishment of one of the largest primary jaw crushers in the United Kingdom for Aggregate Industries.
Originally manufactured in Coalville by Pegson (under the license of Telsmith USA) the 50”x60” D’style primary jaw crusher returned home to our Coalville service facility to undergo major refurbishment works following an unplanned breakdown.
CMS Cepcor service teams dismantled the crusher on-site and transported home it using our own Volvo trucks. Once in our service facility the crusher was dismantled to component form, cleaned and inspected to establish full scope of work.
Both the mainframe and jawstock bearing bores were re-qualified to original factory tolerance to accept a full set of new SKF® bearings. The jawstock assembly was also fitted with new CMS Cepcor parts (made in GB) to include new eccentric shaft and bearing mountings.
New mechanism parts were fitted including toggle beam, toggle plate, toggle seats and retainers (again all made in Britain).
The crusher was eventually delivered back to site on our own transport and re-installed by our service teams over a weekend.
